week 2 28/01/08

On monday we did an interview with Mrs Handley, who is the head of music at greenford high. we asked her a few questions on how she helps the students in the school studying music. this was helpful as as we got an insight on what teachers thought about futher careers in music and whether it is increasing or not. also this interview gives advise to young people who want to have a career in music.

On Tuesday we went to Themes Valley University who are a specialised in music. we spoke to Pritesh kotecha who is a student currently studying Music Technology and is hoping to continue it as a fulltime career in the future, we got his views on the topic and advise he would give to young people who also want to study music.

On wednesday we went to southall to a music shop called bina musicals. we went to see how the anount of people vistining the shop and asked questions on the instruments they play and if they want to further music as a career.

On Thursday we invited a man from the music youth theatre to come in and talk to year 7 students about his career and how he helps students into the youth theatre. The muisc youth theatre is there to help young students who have a passion for music and can't afford to go to study music and drama. therefore they involve these students in activities to help them further their careers.

On Friday we interviewed a student from the royal acadamy of music who has come to London from Italy to study his passion. He talks about his passion for music and gives advise for youths who share the same passions.

On Saturday we talked to a student from Cardinal wiseman high school so see her views on bollywood music and how it is becoming more westernized.
